Robert’s Home AV is an esteemed design and installation company that was established in 1985 by Robert Eitel. With a remarkable track record of consistently exceeding home entertainment expectations, Robert Eitel has continuously redefined the industry year after year. Presently, Robert’s Home AV is under the leadership of Robert's sons, Jay and Derek Eitel, who passionately own and operate the company.

JAY EITEL

Partner

Jay graduated from The University of San Diego with a degree in Business Economics. At the age of 14, Jay started working for Robert’s, running wires under homes as a summertime job. In between sports and schooling Jay worked on and off in the family business. After graduating college Jay joined full time with Robert’s, managing projects and improving processes. In 2011 Jay married Jenie Eitel and has been happily married ever since. Jenie is an interior designer and artist. Currently Jay is a partner in the company with a daily focus of constantly improving client and employee happiness.

DEREK EITEL

Partner

Derek graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Business Finance. With almost two decades of experience in the audio/video industry, Derek started working prewires at the age of 14 as a summertime job and has been working in Between school and sports ever since. After graduating college, Derek began working full time with Robert’s, managing projects And working on quality control. Currently, Derek is a Partner in the company and focuses on Client, Working Partner and Team Relationships.

LEIF PEHRSON

Senior Team Leader

With over 40 years of unwavering commitment to the High-End Audio-Visual industry, Leif has garnered an exceptional education and deep appreciation for the field that goes beyond formal schooling. His extensive experience has taken him across the globe, collaborating with esteemed architects and designers on breathtaking residential projects. Leif constantly strives to strike the perfect balance between meeting clients' desires for top-notch audio and video quality while creating extraordinary living spaces for them. Throughout his career, Leif has worked across various facets of the industry, including installations, project management, sales, system design, acoustic principles, and calibration. His broad expertise and comprehensive understanding make him an invaluable asset to any project.

GARRET SMITH

Team Leader

Garret, a graduate of UC San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, began his professional journey by working for a military defense-engineering firm for a span of four years. In 2011, he joined Robert's, bringing his expertise and knowledge to the company as a Project Manager. Over the years, Garret has made significant contributions to the growth and success of Robert’s. Presently, he holds the position of Team Leader, where he plays a crucial role in improving the quality control processes related to system design and employee development. With his strong engineering background and project management skills, Garret ensures that the systems designed and installed by Robert’s meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Robert Bracero

Team Leader

Robert is a distinguished wartime U.S. Veteran, having occupied highly prestigious positions within the U.S. Navy. His exceptional technical skills and expertise led to his selection for involvement in the world's most advanced command and control communications systems, playing a critical role in safeguarding U.S. National Security. Upon completing his service in the Navy, Robert embarked on a consulting career, providing valuable guidance to technology manufacturing companies. His vast experience and knowledge have made him an expert in various facets of the industry. In 2017, Robert proudly became a part of the Robert's Home AV family, bringing his wealth of experience and skills to the company. Outside of his professional pursuits, Robert finds happiness in his marriage to his wife, Sarandon, and together they are blessed with four daughters.

Jason

Team Leader

With over 20 years of experience in the audio/video industry, Jason brings a deep technical knowledge and practical expertise to the Robert’s team. He joined Robert’s Home AV in 2014 and has played a key role in the design, implementation, and refinement of complex residential AV systems.

Jason’s strength lies in his technical depth and problem-solving ability. He has worked across many aspects of the industry throughout his career, giving him a comprehensive understanding of system architecture, integration, and performance. As a Team Leader, Jason focuses on delivering highly reliable systems while mentoring team members and maintaining high standards of quality and execution.

Outside of work, Jason is a proud father and values time spent with his son.

Rachael St. John

Controller

With over two decades of accounting experience in the construction industry, Rachael brings a wealth of expertise to the Robert's team. She joined the company in 2016 and has since played a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all accounting functions on a daily basis. Her experience in the construction industry enables her to navigate the specific challenges and intricacies associated with managing finances in this field. Outside of her professional pursuits, Rachael is married to her husband Laszlo and is a devoted mother to three children.

ROB EITEL

Founder / Consultant

Robert Eitel, the founder of Robert's Home Audio & Video, established the company in 1985, right at the beginning of the home theater revolution. Recognizing the potential to deliver extraordinary in-home entertainment experiences, Robert became one of the pioneering A/V dealers worldwide to achieve THX certification. His clientele includes Hollywood's elite, movie producers, and renowned celebrities, all of whom have discerning tastes and high expectations when it comes to movie enjoyment. In 1981, Robert married Jaynee Eitel, and their marriage has brought happiness throughout the years. Jaynee initially pursued a career as a physical therapist but later joined Robert’s, utilizing her skills in bookkeeping and human resources to support the company. Presently, Robert and Jaynee serve as consultants and mentors, providing valuable guidance and mentorship to all employees at Robert’s. Furthermore, both Robert and Jaynee actively engage in charitable endeavors, focusing particularly on addressing the issue of homelessness. They contribute their time and efforts to various charitable organizations, working towards making a positive impact in this area.

Robert's Home AV team members possess a deep compassion for serving and caring for those who are in need. Annually, Derek Eitel takes the initiative to coordinate a volunteer trip to Mexico, during which the team constructs homes for families who had previously experienced homelessness.
